Ethereum on Track to Hit $10K by 2025 Amidst Promising Developments
As we stand at the midpoint of 2025, the world of cryptocurrency continues to witness exciting fluctuations and projections. Among the top gainers expected this year, Ethereum (ETH) stands out with a bold prediction of reaching the $10,000 milestone. Let’s dive into the details behind this forecast and explore the developments shaping Ethereum’s future.
Ethereum Price Forecast 2025: ETH Predicted to Hit $10K
Despite its current underperformance, Ethereum (ETH) is still expected to reach the $10,000 milestone by 2025. Meanwhile, Rollblock, an Ethereum-based GameFi platform, has raised over $11 million in its presale and is projected to be one of the top gainers of 2025. Priced at $0.063, RBLK is attracting significant demand, with each new stage of the presale selling out faster than the previous one.
ETH Experiences Lowest Quarterly Return Since Q2 2022
ETH has just had its lowest quarterly return since Q2 2022, according to Blockworks Research. The research noted that Ethereum’s Real Economic Value (REV) dropped 48% month-over-month to $37M, its lowest since July 2020. Despite these setbacks, Ethereum maintained its dominance in the stablecoin market, with a record $124B in market cap and continued growth in on-chain activity. Some of the pressure is macro, as investors drop their risk assets to protect themselves, but Ethereum’s fundamentals have also weakened.
EigenLayer to Launch Crucial Slashing Feature on April 17
EigenLayer, one of Ethereum’s hottest startups from last year, is set to launch its crucial slashing feature on April 17. The introduction of slashing will mark the first ’feature complete’ version of the protocol. EigenLayer pioneered the concept of restaking, allowing Ethereum users to secure additional protocols by recommitting their staked Ether. Slashing, a CORE part of this system, will punish bad actors by seizing a portion of their capital. With slashing, Actively Validated Services (AVSs) built atop EigenLayer’s restaking system will gain an additional layer of security.
Ethereum in Free Fall: How Long Will the Spiral Last?
For several months, Ethereum has been in a downward spiral with a continuous devaluation of its price, raising questions about whether this relentless decline is temporary or permanent. Some observers remain optimistic, believing that the current pain will eventually be rewarded. However, the reality of loss appears unavoidable, with the CryptoQuant platform attributing the decline to a decrease in the number of active addresses.
